Miss Nude Hotels

New Yorkers of a certain vintage will remember Miss Subways. The contest, like many things New York and Subway, was mysterious. The shadowy selection process was held in undisclosed underground locations, underwritten by unknown forces. Year after year, Miss Subways' eerily familiar features beamed from cardboard rectangles placed where straphangers could muse on them while lost in thought aboard crowded or disturbingly empty subway cars. 

Miss Subways was a series of female faces transported from the crowd and briefly immortalized. Winners of an unostentatious beauty lottery with no stated prizes. 

Miss Nude Hotels was sorta like Miss Subways, except Miss Nude Hotels was undressed and she advertised professional hospitality establishments with their bodies. The hotels who sponsored the pageant hoped that nudist imagery and atmosphere would attract hordes of uninhibited guests.

Newyorchesi di una certa annata si ricorderanno di Miss Subways. Il concorso, come tante cose di New York e della metropolitana, era misterioso. La selezione avveniva in luoghi segreti sotterranei, sottoscritta da ombrose entità. I tratti familiari di Miss Subways apparivano su rettangoli di cartone ai passeggeri immersi nei propri pensieri in mezzo ai carri affollati o inquietantemente vuoti.

Miss Subways era una serie di volti di donne trasportate dalla folla e brevemente immortalate. Vincitrici di una lotteria senza premi.

Miss Nuda Hotel era un po' come Miss Subways, a parte che Miss Nuda Hotel era svestita e faceva la pubblicità ad alberghi fin troppo reali. Gli hotel che sponsorizzavano la sfilata speravano che immagini e atmosfere naturiste avrebbero attirato sciami di ospiti disinibiti.
