The Bilitis is the antithesis of her towering white "sister" ships. Rust-patches show almost proudly on her hull and superstructure, and the wooden flagellation grate on the main deck doesn't look like it came from a thrift store.

"This tub once belonged to a gang of Somali pirates," says Capt. Fatima. "When she came into my possession, the plan was to do some buccaneering myself, but Maggie said, make love not war, and make some money while you’re at it. So now she's my First Mate. Which is kinda like being the First Lady, at least aboard my ship."

"Like, you know, everything's everything, these days," quips Second-in-Command Maggie. "Lamborghini sells wallpaper. Wallpaper magazine sells, I dunno, advertising. Gli hotel, i casinò, e le navi da crociera operano anche come gallerie d'arte. Allora perché non possiamo farlo anche noi? Passeggeri nostalgici possono acquistare le opere che hanno ornato le loro cabine nel corso di fortuiti viaggi.
